SOKKURI

Spot the escaped penguin

One penguin has escaped the zoo, and its wanted poster is in the corner of your screen. Find the exact match among a crowd of very close look-alikes and tap it before anyone else. Five rounds, and the fastest total time wins. Tap the wrong one and you are locked out for two seconds.

How to play

How a game goes

01

Look at the wanted poster

You get three seconds with the escaped penguin. Belly shape, belly pattern, beak, feet — remember what you can.

02

Search the crowd

The penguins waddle about, and the crowd is full of near-identical fakes. The poster stays in the top left; tap it to see it bigger.

03

Tap the one you want

Right, and your time is recorded. Wrong, and you cannot tap for two seconds — enough to lose the round.

04

Five rounds, then the total

Every round adds more penguins and makes them look more alike. The total across five rounds is your score.

How to tell them apart

  • Belly shape: round or pointed
  • Belly pattern: plain, heart, spotted — the easiest tell
  • Beak and feet: the colours differ, and so do the shapes
  • Colour alone is hard. Shape is the shortcut

Two ways to play

  • Solo time attack: your time goes on the daily national record
  • Online: 2 to 6 players, all searching the same crowd at once
  • The daily record resets at midnight, so today's board is a fresh race
Tips

Tips for winning

01Do not guessA wrong tap costs two seconds. Waiting half a second beats guessing.
02Check the belly firstThe pattern rules most of the crowd out in one glance.
03Use the posterIt stays in the top left the whole round. Tap it whenever you lose the picture.
04Watch the edgesThe one you want is often at the edge of the crowd, moving away.
